What is settlement based on?
Settlement is based on many factors, some of which are: the types of injuries sustained; prior injuries; history of injuries; type of treatment; and cost of treatment. We will also have to determine whether there will be future treatments or surgeries. Has the injured person lost wages as a result of the accident? Was there permanent scarring? What limitations will the individual have in the future as a result of injuries and how much pain is involved?
