About Sean Claggett
Sean graduated from Durango High School. After high school, Sean went to Cerro Coso Community College and played baseball for two years, and was named the academic athlete of the year (the first time in school history that a baseball player was named as the academic athlete of the year).
After graduating with honors from Cerro Coso, Sean transferred to UNLV where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Sean was immediately accepted into the Boyd School of Law at UNLV, where he excelled as a student. Sean not only graduated cum laude from the Boyd School of Law, but was also a staff editor on the Nevada Law Journal (law review), and an active member of the Moot Court team, where he won first place for his oral advocating skills.
During law school, Sean was a law clerk for an insurance defense firm. During the summer between his second and third years of law school, an opportunity opened up to work with a high profile criminal defense law firm, which Sean accepted. For the next two and a half years, Sean actively practiced criminal defense. Sean also assisted in the development of the firm’s civil, personal injury, and credit repair divisions.
On January 3, 2005, Sean took the leap to start his own practice. At the time his law firm was created he had a single employee, Megan Christensen, who is still with the firm today. Since the inception of his firm, Sean has recovered millions of dollars for his personal injury clients through settlements. Additionally, Sean has obtained over $30,000,000.00 in judgments for his clients since 2005. Claggett & Associates now has eight employees who focus their practice on personal injury, civil litigation, real estate litigation, and criminal defense.
Sean is married to his high school sweet heart and has two young children. Sean and his wife have had a long history of donating to numerous charitable organizations. Sean and his wife share a core belief that as Las Vegas residents, it is their obligation to make our community a better place by giving back with time and money. This belief is also shared by each employee of Claggett & Associates, which is why Claggett & Associates donates a percentage of each personal injury settlement to local charities, including Three Square, March of Dimes, and the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
